VP-Launch.exe ---> I need help !

Pages: << < (2/3) > >>

FloLob:

I have installed Mamewah and VP-launch4 on 2 computers.
One is running Win XP and everything works flawless.

The other machine runs Win 98 SE. Starting a pinball via Mamewah and vp-launch4 is no problem, but the mouse cursor won't hide. When pressing "ESC" to exit the table ,the message window pops up, but visuall pinball won't exit automatically as it is supposed to. I have to do it manually ..... How can this be fixed ?

I am running Visuall Pinball in Fullscreen 800x600 and I have minimized the Visual pinball editor before exiting it.

Ekstreme:

I've been trying to use vp-launch4 for a while but I always get run-time error 76, path not found. I'm using XP SP1 which obviously means something because in one forum, some guy said I bet you using XP and laughed.

No that guy is a dink and should be stoned to death.  Xp is the preferred language of all of my utilities.  If anything.. using 98 seems to cause certain people a lot of problems (even though it shouldn't, but I can't get enough testers to help me track down the 98-specific issue).

Path not found error generally means you are putting the wrapper or one of it's components in the wrong place.  They should be in your tables folder, not in the root of your visual pinball folder.

Ekstreme:

Thanks for the reply. I do have the vp-launch4.exe in the tables folder, as with vp-launch (version 2 I believe) Version 2 works without a hitch. 4 just won't play ball

Howard_Casto:

make sure you moved the vplcfgs folder into your tables folder too and at least have the default.ini in there.  (Others are made automatically. )

Other than that I'm not sure.
