) to find something new and fresh to play. On top of that, I think it would be nice to see what everyone's favorite games are. So, this is my attempt to compile a top 100 list:
Guidelines (PLEASE READ):1. Rank your top 20 favorite games in order (with #s please). You may rank less than 20. However, if you want to finish it later add it in a new post (do not modify the current one).
2. Games receive points based on their rank. i.e. #1 gets 20 points, #2 gets 19, etc...
3. Honorable mention to be added back later.
4. The game must be in the current mamelist.txt:
http://www.mame.net/gamelist.html If one of your favorites is a clone, just pick the original game instead.
5. Please type the name exactly as it appears in mamelist.txt. This makes it much easier for me to sort everything in Excel. See exceptions below.
6. I will update the scores regularly in this post.
7. Feel free to test some of the numbers out to make sure there are no errors. Look for games that are duplicated due to spelling, etc.
Game ExceptionsAll games should be listed individually, just as they appear in mamelist.txt except:
SFII WW, Turbo, and Super are combined as - Street Fighter II
Metal Slug 2 and X are combined as - Metal Slug 2/X
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is - TMNT
