MAME32 TAB KEY

I'm using mame32, because its easy, and right now when ever i play a game the TAB doesn't work, i can't get into the functions for the game.
I haven't changed or remapped any of the buttons as i don't know how (yet.) So i don't think that i assign. it to something else.
Is there a way to get back the default key config. for mame32?
