tekken 5
Rafe:
most of the discussion here seems to focus on the construction of systems to run older games
,80's era. i was wondering if the newest of the new game board construction is also discussed
here. i'm very interested in constructing a system that runs the tekken 5 software and can
pipe it directly into a normal TV CRT,.
I think this requires the construction of a supergun or RGB-NTSC Converter. Has anybody
attempted constructing one of these for a more modern game ?

Its coming out for xbox so get it whenver its out.Why bother with the real arcade board its really expensive and too much hassle. It will be arcade perfect anyway AND you will get to play online.

I tried that with t4 and regretted it. i don't mind spending the money and have a good bit of friends that play it so they will owe me if i'm successfull. i'll still get it for the xbox but just wanna construct one.
what i know at this time is i'll need:
1. system 246
2. tekken 5 disk
3. supergun
4. normal tv
5. two sticks and buttons ?
is that it?
what about this jamma cable, all it seems to be is a aggregate of cables ? is this a component of the supergun ?
DaveMMR:
You could pretty much just buy the full deal instead of putting together one. Or you can construct a cab and slap an X-Box in there.
But I agree with Snaaake. Arcade games now are translated to consoles with perfection (which, ironically, is one of many reasons the arcade is more or less dead)*.
*back in my day, I had to wait 12 years for an arcade perfect version of Marble Madness

Its a complicated process.I would wait for the xbox versiona and see how accurate it is compared to the real thing.
