Anyone do a Button Review?
spidermonkey:
Yep, leaf switches are my favorite too. The only time I'd use microswitch buttons is if I was REALLY short on space but that's never happened because I always plan my control layouts with leafswitches in mind so space is never a problem. I did have microswitch buttons on my cp for credit, pause, player 1 & 2 ect.. but they weren't translucent like all my action buttons so they too got replaced with translucent leafswitch buttons. The idea that leafswitch buttons have to be adjusted all the time is an old wives tale. Unless your cabinet will be placed in an arcade enviroment and constantly beaten and abused you shouldn't have to adjust the leafswitches more then once (if not ever). There's no way one person could wear out a leafswitch unless they sat there and pushed it for 8 hours a day for 5 years. Two of the buttons on my cab have leafswitches from a 20+ year Tron machine and the actual leaf tabs are just as straight and responsive as the buttons that have brand new leafswitches under them. If you want to adjust them to give them a shorter throw and a quicker response time then you can do that but once thats done you shoudn't have to fiddle with them again unless you want to change them back. Microswitches have no adjustment what-so-ever so you are stuck with whatever "pre contact" travel that they come with. :P Oh.. and if they have any type of switch other then "Cherry" brand microswitches then the clickity click can be annoying. That can however be remedied by cranking up some good n cheesy 80s' rock/pop music. ;D

Doesn't make the slightest bit of difference to me.
