Got to look @ the book today.
« on: May 06, 2004, 07:06:55 pm »
Drove fifty miles to the nearest Barnes & Noble just to take a look at the book (I'll be getting it from Amazon.com as soon as they have it in stock, it's far cheaper there)

Just reading the dedication...Saint thanks all the board moderators...except me!  D'oh!

No big deal really, I'm sure the dedication was done months in advance, before I became a mod.

*sniff* but it still stings, man!   :'(

Just kidding, just kidding.  Heck of a nice looking book, though.

And I'm sure I'll be there for the second edition.

I got my books today!!!  I was and still am soooo happy and have been thumbing through it all night.  Yesterday I tried to buy a copy (Copy #3) at the Barnes and Nobel store on 5th avenue and 49th street in NYC.  The book was not in the store yet, BUT!  I got to meet Kariam Abdual Jabar who happened to be doing a book signing.  That guy is over 7 feet tall!!!! can you picture what and arcade cabinet for him would look like??

So Saint: When can I expect to see you in NYC for the big signing?  I'll take you out for a really nice lunch at Del Frisco if you happen to be in town.

Thanks
Charlie

BTW Saint - Great Job on the book, it really is fantastic.  Mrs GameCab was also very impressed too and wishes you the best of luck with the books sales.

Thanks

Charlie

I passed by a giant Wal-Mart today and thought I'd go in and have a look for it (yes, I'm a cheap bastard and am well aware that Wal-Mart is the cheapest place to buy a copy). But they don't have it in yet.  :-[
I'll have a look in B&N in town tomorow....
