Getting to the monitor with bezel in place
spauldingd:
I finished my cabinet about a week ago and I thought I had tried all the monitor resolutions that I would use, but of course, I missed one. My monitor is mounted behind plexiglass and is nearly impossible to get to. I knew that going in, but I didn't think I would need to get to it.
I am able to get to the adjustment buttons if I remove my control panel and stick a long screwdriver up in there from below, but I was curious what others have done. I almost cut a few holes in my plexi to get to the buttons, but that sheet of plexi looks so nice I hate to touch it.

What kind of cabinet do you have, most have a removeable back door to allow servicing from the back. I take it your monitor adjustment controls are mounted on the flyback our on the chassis?
Edit: Is your monitor a pc monitor also?
spauldingd:
Its just a regular PC monitor mounted in a home-made cab.

I service my arcade TV by removing the back panel and using a remote to do the "front" button stuff. If I need to remove the TV for repair I need to remove the plexiglass and bezel and remove it from the front.
I know the remote is something you can not do, but I was just giving you a summary of what I do......

Is it in its original case our did you remove it? I ask in case your adjustment controls on your pc monitor might be removeable.
Ive seen projects where they would remove the pc monitor controls from the front bezel of the monitor and reposition them somewhere they can easily adjust the picture. I forget what project they belong to but there are several of those examples.
