Daphne is very near to officially supporting Dragon's Lair 2 on a new release. All the rom versions versions have been completed and it just the overlay that needs to be completed, but it is very near. It is being worked on. Dragon's Lair 2 plays in the cvs but has no overlay. It will not be released officially until it has been completed. A new version of dvd2daph should be released at the same time to enable the mpeg's to be extracted from the DL2 DVD.

I think they also say on the site that the 20th Anniversary DVD-ROM is the best one to get.

Yes, the 20th anniversary dvd video's are the best to get to extract the mpeg's from.

Quite a contradiction...the Daphne docs recommend the DVD-ROM version:

'For those of you who want to play Dragon's Lair or Space Ace, you are in luck because you can buy the Dragon's Lair DVD-ROM or Space Ace DVD-ROM from Digital Leisure [1] and then use a conversion utility called DVD2Daph to make everything you need to start playing DAPHNE. We recommend this route for beginners who have never used DAPHNE before.'

Although I'm sure I read that you can now use the DVD-Video version.  I would still go for the DVD-ROM tho...

Edit: spelt DVD wrong!
