| Mounting my monitor (urgent!) |

| Ceifeirot:
Hello, Sorry for the urgent sign, I've got basically everything else done with my MAME cabinet (to have it in working condition, not finished condition) except for having the PC monitor mounted inside. And this is for a school project that's due very soon. (my host family from Japan is coming for the next few days and I'd rather not do work while they're here) How do I mount it? I have a 19" PC monitor that I took the stand off of. I'd rather not screw something into the monitor. Is there a good way to just have something holding the monitor in from the back maybe? Some kind of L-shaped brace? The monitor sticks out a couple inches in the back. Also, the wood it's sitting on is angled so much that the monitor just starts to slip backwards if I leave it in there, so I definitely need something holding it in. Thank you!! |

Heres some info for just that from OSCAR How to install a PC monitor in a cab (photos!) Good Luck |

If you prefer the shelf method you must be sure that all bracing and the shelf be super secure and mounted evenly with the rest of the cabinet to prevent any lopsidedness. Its a very common procedure, me myself i havent mounted a pc monitor but if i did i would prefer OSCARS method. |

I mounted mine like the Oscar example but just used wood offcuts rather than making metal brackets. Worked a treat. |
