Post yer boot times!

Hi, all. Please post your average boot-up time, if you've got one. Make sure to mention your OS. And, if yours is particularly fast, what tricks do you use? Thanks!
I apologize for the math notation. Oh, and I am defining boot-up time as the amount of time it takes from when you push the power button to when you can first give input to software other than the OS (i.e. the front end). "Stand by" doesn't count, and be honest! We're not comparing wang size or anything...

Less than 3 using Windows XP.
Tricks:
1. Run Bootvis.
2. Disable auto detection of new IDE devices
3. Eliminate syatem tray programs and background apps
.....as mentioned in MaximumPC's How To Guide. It's improved my boot time from close to 10 seconds to less than 3.

I run frikkin xp, no tricks.... if you want a fast boot time use a new pc with xp, that's it.
If 10 seconds is too long a wait then you are really impatient and don't need the stress of playing video games anyway. ;)
