Marking participation in topics

Is there/can there be a way to mark the topics on the boards in some way to indicate that you've posted in that topic?  I don't always want to subscribe to a topic, but I'm more interested in topics I've contributed to in some form.  Something like a different color highlight or marker icon to indicate the topics I've posted in would give me a quick "at-a-glance" view of the topics I'm most interested in.

I don't think so.  I think subscribing is the only way.  I'm not sure if YABBSE sends just one email if there is activity in a thread, or one email with every message in that thread, because I've never subscribed to a topic before.

It sends one e-mail when there is activity in a thread, but only if it changes that threads "new" status (i.e. it doesn't send you an e-mail every time someone posts to the thread, just once until you go read the thread)
