i am just making a list of stuff i need for my mame cocktail cab project. just wondering is subwoofer is really required? is was planning on fitting some car speakers. think is this ok? BTW: are car speakers magnetically shielded? - don't want them to affect the monitor display. plus not sure whther there would be roon for subwoofer in the table anyway... |

Most games had one cheap speaker. Use cheap PC speakers for your cocktail, they are more than enough, and more than any real cocktail shipped with. |

While I agree that keeping the "original feel" of the old games has some merit, I think they were hampered by the quality of the cheap old car speakers that the old games had. Have you heard joust, robotron and defender through a sub??? It's killer, and probably would get a huge thumbs up from the guys who programmed the games... Just my $.02 :) |

but surely not so easy with a cocktail table cab? |
