quick questions here. Which is better the ps/2 I-PAC or Usb? |

May I suggest you create a new folder within the mame/ctrlr folder Copy the std.ini file from mame/ctrlr into your new folder Rename this to default.ini Edit it to include player 4 controls as they are actually mapped to joypad. Also the 4th button on player 3 is mapped to a joypad button as well. Then in mame32 change the Options-Default Game Option-Controllers and set My Controls to the new folder name. Or mame change the mame.ini ### Input device options ### ctrlr newfoldername I've had troubles with the tab menus before. |

Short answer is opinions vary. Andy Warne has lately been favoring USB. RandyT prefers PS/2. (Both say for performance reasons apart from what their encoders support). I have seen some performance issues with my USB trackballs and have heard some reports of problems (usually fixable) with the USB I-PAC that don't exist in PS/2. My personal advice would be to use PS/2 for an arcade cab, and maybe USB for a desktop controller. |

I haven't run into any problems playing 1-player fighters (which is the hardest I've pushed it). Now if I only had friends, I could comment further... |
