You know, I remember some of my friends saying something kind of similar about the whole Napster/Kazaa/P2P thing...

Maybe time to move to Canada?

It's slang for someone who comes in late to a movement/hobby/nitch and tries with all their might to fit in, but usually ends up ruining it for everyone. Kinda' like a Newbie. I always thought it made a nice euphemism for "Lamer".

Ha ha, if you have to ask then you probably are one!

hulkster:

yeah but a lot of times the guys that make fun of the newbies or even call them "newbies" and roll their eyes every time they ask a relatively easy question......kinda reminds me of the grumpy old man that comes hobbling out on his cane yelling at those damn kids to get off his lawn or turn down their music.  regardless of "how much" you think you know about something (i.e. arcade stuff) theres always someone else who is on the same level as you on another subject and would roll their eyes if you asked a question about like...taxes or loan payments or how to make a quiche.  so everybody needs to chill and quit all this high horse crap, and thinking you are johnny-knowledgeable about everything.  (okay off my soap box) ;D

That would be wrong.
