screaming:
Hello all,

I'm looking to extend the firewire port in my PC out to my CP. I attempted to extend the wire by splicing 8 wires into the middle, but my confidence isn't too high that it's going to work. :)

I was in the shower this morning (I seem to do all my best thinking in there *shrug*) and it occured to me that it would probably be simpler if I simply wire in an 'extender cable' by attaching one end the the end of the existing cable and attaching the other end to the recepticle on the motherboard.

I did some searching on the internet for anything that looked close to the type of connector, and the closest I came up with was a SPOX connector. Do any of you know off the top of your head if this is accurate?

Thanks for your help!

looks like .156 pins.  Ask Bob Roberts, he has similar connectors. You don't need all the interlocks, just the spacing to make it right.
