Shhh...you're gonna ruin my business! I buy broken PS2s (cheap) and use my astounding tech skills (I adjust the laser...just like in the link) to fix 'em and sell them at a good profit. Anyway, just to second _Iz- 99% of the time read errors on the PS2 are due to the laser being out of alignment (due to people sitting their systems in the "tower position"...Sony no longer recommends this). Oh, just because a system can read CD's doesn't mean its out of alignment. The laser has to be adjusted just right to read every color/type of disc, so, test one of every color disc before you put the cover back on. It's a problem that can be fixed in ten minutes...just be careful taking it apart...there are some VERY delicate cables in there.

well it pretty much looks like its not gonna happen, maybe if we all get together and order the same buttons from wico even though theyre 10$ each we could get a bulk discount that way?
