How about this software for a Jukebox?
mvaughn:
I'm sure some of you have seen this but others may not. I came across this yesterday while perusing some bookmarks I haven't visited in ages.
It is geared for a jukebox/media player interface for a car-puter. It could easily be adapted for use in a home jukebox as long as you don't mind the references to GPS navigation.
check it out...

there is a ton more info here too...

mvaughn:
ohh yeah... it's skinnable and free too!
Brad Lee:
Its pretty cool, I was playin with it today
I havent tried it on my mame PC, but it runs fairly quick on my main PC, which is slower. It handles a large number of mp3's(~250 albums worth). It appears to hook into winamp pretty tightly, and uses winamp visualizations
Says it'll integrate video(mpg avi others) right in with audio(lots of formats) but I didnt have any videos handy to test with
Brad Lee:
As usual, I got distracted while setting up media engine. Checked out the mp3car.com site. Found a couple more apps that are all pretty similar to this- simple screens designed to handle audio/video/fm/executables/gps/etc
So go to www.mp3car.com and check out 'software' on the menu bar, theres about 10 progs there.
Auto-Play is what Im checking out at work today, looks like a real simple playlist based media player, skinnable. Comes bundled with winamp 2.90 and a couple vis plugins, but I bet it'll work with any version of winamp and other plugins
DrewKaree:
Brad, what setup are you using while running this?
I'm using 98SE and I keep getting a Movie Player error. It seems to be written more for newer versions, and I'm wondering if that's how you're running it.
I'm off to that site to have them troubleshoot it, but was just wondering about your setup
