Wheel config before game start messaging?

Yes, MAME has full axis support.  Configuring the stuff with MAME isn't the problem.  Its the game/rom layer. 

For example - Ace Victory - When using split pedals I could never get the 'game' to read above 50% throttle or brake.  Service menus confirmed this - it would only go to 50% max.   Switching to combined pedals solved this instantly. 

I messed around with about a dozen titles, and all of them (except maybe Spy Hunter) behaved this same way.  Game software would only 'see' 50% of the throttle range unless I was using combined pedals.  Even after using the game/rom calibration routine.
