Atari 2600/7800+

(1/1)

pbj:
In search of ever more elusive thrills, I recently picked up an Atari 7800+ from Woot/Amazon for $60.  Don't pay $120, they've been alternating who has it for $60 for 3 months.

I helped Atarimatt with his game Spice Harvester, which is featured here:

If you watch closely you may see an "Inspected by Pinballjim" credit on it.  It's actually a pretty fun game, and he's sold a few dozen copies which is cool.

Also been up to this nonsense, courtesy of karri on Atari-Age:

A modern microcontroller emulating a 32kB eprom plugged into an Android box running an Atari emulator may be peak absurdity, but it's been fun.

7800 is this weird console of crap with occasional flashes of life.  Probably could have been a serious contender if they hadn't gone cheap on it.  Never saw one as a kid, so it's been interesting.

Couple of dedicated bootlegs I’ve made.  Armed with snips and a lot of hot glue, you can make these pi pico PCBs work in original shells.  Usual shipping label crap run through the printer.  No one will notice or care.

Actually a fun game, one I hadn’t heard of before.  Apparently fairly rare.  I trashed a copy of Atlantis I paid 40 cents for.

I remember them advertising the hell out of this one.  Not entirely sure what’s going on but eh.
