Retro JVL error

lilshawn:
I imagine a video outlining how to remove these computer doesn't exist, because it's a literal nightmare... with 3/4 of the things you have to do to get it in and out being done by feel only.

best advice i can offer is: if you can manage to remove the power supply in the bottom, it will give you a little more space to turn it and tilt it.

I was able to change the batteries and I'm not getting the message to reset the game each time. I'm still having to hit F1 on the keyboard to launch the game though.  The first pic is still happening but after hitting F1 the game loads and keeps the free play settings that I had previously set.  Is there a way to keep from having to hit F1 on a keyboard each time?
Thanks

Also I tried to change the date/time but it only goes up to 2009 on the machine.  If I go into the SETUP with DEL - the keyboard no longer works to choose and BIOS settings.

lilshawn:
probably the easiest thing to do is to go into the bios... select the load defaults... then select load optimised... then save and exit.

if it's not saving... your battery is incorrectly installed, dead, or too low. make sure it's at least 3 volts.

I have the correct batteries but when I go into the BIOS the keyboard does not work to choose any options...
