JVL Retro Motherboard

I opened up this Retro and the Joypad and Lights weren't connected. (No place to connect on the MB)
Its having the "File System Corrupted" error but boots after pressing the service button. Have to press it  every power cycle.

 I have replaced the I/O battery and the MB Battery.  This Retro has the has iTouch 10 version.
 
Is this an image reload issue or more an issue with not having the correct MB?

I would like all the lights and joypad to work, but parts are getting harder to find.
Also missing the 8-pin pigtail that goes from LEDs to MB.
Any help appreciated!

While I appreciate replacing a soldered in battery with a battery holder, you have ultimately replaced the battery with a non-standard part.

the battery you replaced had 2 solder connections on one side, and one solder connection on the other.

on the side that has 2 solder connections, you must utilize BOTH holes. you have to tie them together with a wire, as each through hole is used for different parts of the board. if you only use one, it wont work as the battery must supply voltage to both of them to properly work.

Sincerely, Thank you for clearing that up! I was having a hell of a time with this I/O that didnt have a battery I bought off eBay.

Still looking for a factory Retro Motherboard if you anyone has anything that works! I have this MB and I believe its from a Vortex.
