I just dug out my "recapped' blue sport GG the other day and it needs to be capped again... its dead..

My LCD kit arrived and has been installed.  I went for an older revision that has touch controls to change the color palette at will.  You can also adjust the brightness with the brightness wheel.  Seems like every version out there is a series of trade offs.  They’re all about the same price.

Installation isn’t too terrible but you have to remove a bunch of tiny components and then solder on a flex cable.  Being a Game Gear you will have to disassemble and reassemble it five times as you discover parts you left off.

Very pleased with the end result, though.
