Solved? Win 11 24H2 seems to have broken ArcadeOSD.

UPDATE: possibly fixed further down in the thread

The app opens fine, and looks fine until I select a new resolution. It will switch the resolution, but the app itself will appear frozen on the resolution list screen (it's still working in the background though, because I can close by hitting ESC a few times). Of course this makes doing any adjustments within ArcadeOSD impossible.

Anybody know of a workaround I can try? A certain compatibility mode maybe?

I always update my Emudriver PC to the latest version of Windows for shits and giggles, it generally works out fine. But it's looking like I may need to roll this one back.

Calamity:
I haven't updated to W11 any of my machines. So none of this software's been tested on W11 by me. It's probably an issue with D3D9 support. While running Arcade OSD, press "D", that will open a debug console. There might be some error message in there.

I've just upgrade to Windows 10 v22H2 because I had too - hardware will not work with older system  :D

I don't think there is any beenefit to move to Windows 11 especially new version that is not tested by too many people.

Currently no benefit that I'm aware of, I just do it because it's neat running the latest cutting edge version of windows at 480i and 240p

But as for staying on Windows 10, that is sunsetting next year. So if you need your machine hooked up to the internet there may be some risk there. How much risk, I don't know

I have standalone PC for arcade with no internet connection but my main PC still has Windows 10 22H2 because it works better than Windows 11 23H2 and I still have one year of support for security anyway.
