OND's other projects
Ond:
I've always enjoyed design and working with CAD programs so digitizing the freely available spec PDFs for the Sasandu was time consuming but satisfying.
To get the design into a format that could be CNC cut involved a number of steps. First downloading the cabinet drawings, then translating those accurately into my preferred CAD program and finally doing the conversions into CNC friendly step files.
If I was confident with Autodesk Fusion (previously called Fusion 360) I could have digitized directly into that program. But I have only a rudimentary understanding of Fusion so the initial work was done in 3ds MAX. Here are some screen grabs to show the process for just the front panels:

Incredible attention to details as always OND
Looking forward to seeing more.

These are amazing, and if I didn't go through all the health issues, divorce, and downsizing in my life, I would love to have the space to build some awesome speakers like these!
What kind of 3d printer(s?) do you have? I have a pair of Anycubik's and they were a mistake. Looking at the new Snapmaker for my next one

Hey mate, yes, I'm looking forward to seeing more too. In fact I have more speaker projects in the works than those shown here. Having recently bought a new home I'm trying to get a whole bunch of things done including speakers for our lounge entertainment system. The Sasandu speakers are complex and challenging. The small surround speakers I'm working on are easy for DIY project builders.

As we all get older it seems like there's so many things getting in the way of stuff we'd rather be doing. Also I'm the worst at always starting new things and not finishing things already on my plate. I get bored easy, that's the problem. Anyway. I have one 3D printer, a Creality Ender 3 V3 KE. I've worked it hard, its been really useful. If I was going to get a new one it would be the Elegoo Centauri Carbon. Current model enclosed printers are just better for a wider range of plastics, especially higher temperature ABS.
