I never bought one, did test drive a donkey kong that walmart had on display. Most asking prices I see are very close to the store prices, I dont see how they can get that. Unless they are collectables now?? --- End quote --- You definitely didn't play Donkey Kong, as none of the Nintendo games have made it to A1up yet. Much to the dismay of some, there is a large group of A1up owners. The larger user base has injected the market and caused lots of things to happen - some good, some bad. I bought a reproduction Star Wars yoke for $150 and it's great. I suspect that market will burst and we'll be flooded with A1up's. --- End quote --- Yeah, probably wasnt Donkey Kong then. Maybe pacman or ms pacman??? Its been awhile and since memory is not the first thing to go, it does go. LOL. The arcade 1Ups had just came out. I wasnt overly impressed with it. |

I lost like an old account but I've been here for a long long time, back when snk neo geo games were the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, and it was a huge sin to find rooms for them games.... lol those where the days... |

Every so often the nostalgia strings pull at me and I drop back in. Joined in Feb 2003. Boy how the time flies. I just rebuilt almost everything in my main mame cab, and after ALL of that, the monitor popped. So tripped at the finish line, so that will wait for the new year. It's crazy that a huge arcade cabinet was one of the items I just HAD to move 3000 miles from the east coast to the rocky mountains, especially when we hadn't really used it since the kids were young. But glad I did, and was actually enjoying really sitting down and playing some of the old classics for score. Until the poppage that is. |

I'm not here... But maybe you'll catch me there... I haven't owned an arcade machine in many years. Very rarely I'll fire up MAME on my living room TV and play with the ZD Invader fight stick I built out of scrap. Pretty sure that's the only thing I have left from my building days. I play Sega Genesis when PBJ yells at me. I do have 4 pins though. Picked up 2 NIB machines this year, TNA and a P3 with Final Resistance. So I've got that going, which is nice. Find me at Zapcon 9, challenge me to a 2 player game on any pin, beat me and earn yourself some old timey BYOAC swag. Lose... well just try again. |
