Alien extermination guns - ali express - UK - trusted sellers and tips
oddeye45:
Same as the OP, I wanted in on these guns so I pulled the trigger from AliExpress. Guns were £85 for the pair but the shipping was also £85 so £190 all-in to get them to the UK.
The most painful part is getting the set up on different systems. It took me ages to get as far as I have as it seems either not very many people have these guns or they are just not posting information anywhere. I currently have them fully working in MAME and in Teknoparrot. I have them intermittently working in Model 2, Model 3 and RPCS3/Namco 357. From what I can tell, the main issue is that the workarounds people use for other systems are assuming that it is looking for a mouse input and these guns will appear as joysticks. One workaround I have working is to use a program that converts joystick inputs into mouse inputs and, although this works, the software only allows for one controller to do this. I used this to get some stuff working on Namco 357 but then you can only play one player and it still requires Demulshooter and Mamehooker to get outputs (but no recoil as you cannot use Joy2Key and Joy2Mouse at the same time - or at least I couldn't get them to play nicely).
There is a guy on Youtube that has these guns fully working on Model 2, Model 3 and RPCS3 with full recoil and I have tried reaching out to him to find out how to do it but got no response. I have Gun4ir guns and, yes, I could use them for this but I bought these guns so that the full-auto shooters could be played somewhat authentically. I wish there was a place where we could upload all of the files and solutions that have been found so that this becomes easier for others in the future. In particular, I am always looking for ways to incorporate the gun counters into my games. I usually get it to display lives but on most games there is an ammo option. However, everytime I try to use that it either shows the digits duplicated (99, 88, 77...etc) or it just shows a single digit countdown but this doesn't match the actual ammo count in game. In Aliens it works properly as the game handles it and in FarCry I have it displaying the kill count, which also just works.
If anyone would like to take a look at my files and move the torch forwards, let me know and I'll upload a few.

I would be interested in your files. I've got most games working with my 2 alien guns but some are still buggy and I'd be curious to look at your ini files. I don't really care for the keystates alternative, so I'm curious if I'm just not using the right codes. Thanks man
