Coin door recommendations

SpaceParanoid:

Building my first cabinet and wanted to see if there are any recommendations for the best place to pick up a double coin door, lit slots, accepts real quarters and with the microswitches for hooking up to the usb controller. Was about to grab the one listed on gameroomsolutions but figured I'd check here before pulling the trigger.

Thanks for a great forum and resource. New user here and just started going down the rabbit hole building my first CP after seeing my friend's setup and I appreciate the wealth of info on this site.

Fursphere:

eBay - there are decent deals there.    Just be prepared to refinish (remove rust, paint) before you install it.  I personally use the Rustoleum "Hammer" Paint to re-paint coin doors.

Craigslist and Facebook marketplace - sometimes you can find them there, or full empty cabs for cheap that are in bad shape.  You just may have to haul and dispose of the cabinet (or resale it if you think you can)

klov has a buy/sell section.  Might be able to picture something there as well.

lilshawn:

honestly, even the cheapy cheapy chinese doors look pretty dang good.

i wouldn't use them in an unsupervised public space on a machine as they are just thin stamped sheet metal, and they'd just get kicked in no problem.

...but they are plenty good enough for home use and certainly look the part.

javeryh:

The X-Arcade Happ imitation doors are pretty good.  $60 for a single and $80 for a double. Not bad.

I do wish that someone sold a Midway replica though.

Hey, thanks very much for the recommendations and leads, I didn't know about some of these resources.
