World Rally pedal reporting issue

After updating to MAME .254 I have noticed on quite a few games that the accelerator pedal is reporting as JOYSTICK UP. Prior to updating I had world rally 1&2 working brilliantly as well as 1000 mile 1&2. The pedal reporting is working fine with the majority of the driving games but not sure why this has started to happen now. Is it possibly a setting in mame that has been changed by the updating of MAME and the romsets. I’ve tried clearing the nvram and ini files for the games that I’m having problems with but to no avail. Also trying to avoid combining the pedals as that then messes up other emulators (TP, model 2 etc)

Why don't you just go back to using an older version of MAME where you weren't having any control issues? Probably easier than trying to reconfigure a whole bunch of games with iffy controls.

I guess I’m trying to avoid having multiple instances of MAME as a couple of the games that work on .254 didn’t work on the earlier version
