Need help with Audio and frame rate sync

Ok many threads in this and instill can't get it to work.
I know gsync/vrr is ideal but I'm trying to find out, without gsync etc:
What are the proven mame .ini settings that will give me the best chance of
1) no audio stutter
2 no screen motion stutter/tearing

I don't mind running the games at the slightly wrong frame rate.  I just want smooth motion and  no stutter as much as possible within the constraints of the system. 

I can normally achieve one or the other but not both.   

Please someone advice me as I've tried many things from the forums and nothing quite works. I have a 1050gtx GPU and i7@3ghz (gen 4)
