Getting close, you can see with the non-medium res tube with the color now: While it was looking good and I was getting close enough to start buttoning things up I just couldn’t let go of not using the Med Res tube. I tried another yoke that I rewound from a 25” 90 TV tube I found. Looked closer: Rewound that one and it didn’t work, in fact it was worse. I know now that the shape of the ferrites was actually further off despite the inner coils looking closer. Finally broke down and looked to source an original for this troublesome tube. It does appear to have a longer neck and slightly different shape from a typical 90 degree tube. I managed to find one after much searching. Cleans up nice: After spending a while positioning the yoke and rotating the convergence rings I finally got a picture I was happy with: Mounted it back in the cab, and it was really fun to see the sharper picture: With it mounted now I needed to create a shroud. I was using a Tempest for a template, but it wasn’t that helpful. I tried a number of different iterations before temporarily accepting this: Had to throw on the glass and marquee to see how it looked: Paradise Arcade Shop made a run on the Marquee as they knew a number of us needed it. There were some last finishing touches to be done. The coin door, coin box container, service utility panel High Voltage and ballast shields. Good place to stop for now. |

Looks very sharp and tidy! Can't imagine this cab being anything but Major Havok now. Love the fridge in your workshop - I need one too, except then wife would never see me again lol :laugh2: |

Mate that is beautiful...! Don't think I've played it on a dedicated cabinet before, but that is really something else. The work and dedication you've put into it is amazing. :notworthy: |
