Vertical Hantarex Polo Star problem
« on: March 17, 2023, 10:02:35 am »
Hello everyone on the forum

I bought a broken 28" Hantarex Polo Star set.
I already checked the possible causes and nothing.
I don't know what the ideal voltage for this chassis is.
The maximum voltage I have is 120V, which is weird.
Already replaced the TDA 1675A.
Is it normal to have a short between the dissipating part of the TDA 1675A and the dissipating aluminum?

do you mean you have vertical collapse
if so then vertical ic and safety resistors need replacing/checking, vertical ic does normally have insulation sheet on polostar although I do not know if it is critical or not
check r32 1r metal oxide resistor, test 25v at sp5
check r105 2r7 metal oxide resistor, test 25v at at r105

I already measured the vcc in the TDA1675 and I have 25V.
Now a bar appears and I don't see what it is.
Is it normal for SP37 +VB to have a maximum of 128V?
What is the correct volt on this chassis?

Above all I want to thank you for your help.

I don't have a video signal connected, neither to the vga input nor to the arcade input.
It was supposed to fill the screen with brightness.
I don't understand

No, I haven't done it yet, but I know that without video the screen cannot have a bar. I think I'm not sure

long time since i worked on a polostar but pretty sure they act strange without a signal attached
just try a 640 x 480 vga and see what happens
