I-pac2 Won't Keep Profile Loaded |
(1/1) |
Drakkorcia:
Update: In order to save an edited i-pac configuration you need to use a "user set" mode, i.e., xinput user set (mode 5) rather than xinput preset (mode 3). I was using mode 3 which is the xinput preset so when I would make changes they wouldn't take. Switching to mode 5 resolved the issue. Have an i-pac2 using Winipac V2 software. I saved a custom xinput profile with the button assignments I need and no matter what I do it will not permanently use this profile. So whenever I turn the PC off, close Winipac, or restart Winipac always starts with the default profile. How on earth can I tell Winipac to always run one profile? It is annoying to have buttons not work because it goes back to the default profile all the time. |
Zebidee:
If all else fails, you can always reprogram the ipac on startup via a shortcut in your startup directory. Just get it to load your default config. Exact instructions may vary depending on OS etc. It is also possible to reprogram the ipac automatically in many frontends, such as when starting a game, via pre-emulator commands in the config. |
