Keep on doin' stuff! --- End quote --- Ohh, Ive done a Lot of different things... including building my own Custom made, fully functional, Starwars Yoke. Super Hangon controllers. And a custom made Sinistar joystick, with the correct "X-Spider" multiplying-resistance mechanism. Of course, when my health took a nose dive... and my finances took a similar dive, due to being out of work as a result... My building days were put on hold. Didnt help, that many things had to be left behind in the various moves... And all of my arcade controls, were stolen from my minivan. Yay |

Lets not have an argument over what one person does compared to another. We are all on here to make awesome happen. X2, you didn't build the thing, and it isn't for you. Why don't you just make a version of the controller to suit your needs :) Seems like you have the knowledge to do so considering you made a star wars yoke :) No need to be mean to someone that has completely engineered something for them self from scratch and decided to post it to share their experiences with the build. I think it is a nice design, however I too have somethings that I would change about it, but that is me, and I have different needs than others. I design some pretty crazy contraptions that 99% of people wouldn't even look twice at, but they help me in my life :) Just lets try to be nice please ;D |

Fire, I love the "coin Button" TM. idea. I might make my own version for my custom ultracades that I build for events :) |

This is a really neat project. Unique form factor and looks like fun. By the way, I am left-handed and would not like your left-handed version at all. In fact, I don't think I could use it at all because I'm so used to joystick on the left and buttons on the right. I'm also not one of those left-handed people that do a bunch of things right-handed - I do everything left handed (except this?). |

--- Quote ---No need to be mean to someone --- End quote --- Huh? I dont think anything I said was Mean. I merely gave my opinion and advice, about button layouts. That isnt a personal attack, my dude. --- Quote ---I'm so used to joystick on the left and buttons on the right. --- End quote --- You can play dual joytstick games like Robotron, without issue.. right? And buttons are not that hard to operate, from either hand.. as we can type with our Keyboards just fine, with two hands. As long as the layout is "Uniform" (no curves)... then you should be able to adapt quickly to either arrangement, theoretically... ? I like to imagine a Fighting game. Initially, we may feel like we would be more comfortable, choosing to start on the left or right side. But ultimately, when we fight... we tend to end up on the other side of the screen. Yet it doesnt effect our control or comfort levels... as we dont even think about it. Now, I can imagine it would feel really weird, to have an inverted layout, to play street fighter II. But ultimately, I think anyone would get used to it, within less than an 8 min timespan. I could be mistaken. I dont have these controls in front of me, to actually test it physically. |
