Question about Plexi

Quick question for anyone...  I might have access to some free plexiglass, looks to be 1/4" thick...  Is this too thick to cover control panel art?  If so, would this have any use in an arcade build of any sort?

Thats what I used to sandwich the art in my Marquee.

Good to know, may grab some whenever I decide to build a full cabinet again...  For right now it's just going to be a control box, wasn't sure if 1/4" was too thick to cover the artwork...  Or strong enough to be the top on it's own as far as that goes.

I've got 1/8" on mine sandwiching the art onto ally. Could do with being thicker.
