Unable to connect to desired wireless network using GASetup
« on: September 07, 2022, 05:15:55 pm »
When using the built in GASetup utility and the network setup utility, there is a mismatch between the listed SSID's and the actual the SSID chosen when entering the matching password.

For example the list of available SSID's will be

SSID 1
SSID 2
SSID 3

My desired network is SSID 3 which i will choose, on the next screen, it will tell me i am actually trying to connect to SSID 4, and the list SSID 1-3 also do not match when selecting them to enter passwords, it makes it impossible to connect to my desired network.

Is there a config file somewhere that i can manually edit to choose my preferred network?

nb, i have run the built in updater, and everything is up to date

Nop config file, and I've just configured a WiFi network where i Had a dozen possible, had no problem although I didn't check if the selected SSID was the right one.  but it worked, really.

Manual wifi connection requires iwd commands IIRC, I may check if you need

That's ok, i should be able to figure out IWD.

It's a weird one though, it's like all the listed SSID's are out of sync with the actual network names when i select them. Not a show stopped as i have ethernet run across my garage floor at the moment.
