Source for these tiny LED pushbuttons?
(1/1)
TapeWormInYourGut:
Hi all, I'm looking to see if anyone knows where I can source White versions of these tiny blue push buttons. I think they're 12mm, but not sure. These guns are made by rpegelectronics.com and I'm looking to put a similar mod into mine. The LEDs need to support 5v in order to go off the USB power source, which is making it difficult to find. I could use 12v, but they all seem to be 2-5A which is insane to light up a single LED. If anyone had purchased similar buttons then I'd appreciate it if you'd drop your source.

I found these 5v buttons on Ebay, but they only offer Red, Green, and Blue. White isn't an option :(

The switch contacts are rated for 2A.

The LED will light with an operating voltage between 4.5v and 12v.
- It draws 15mA at 12v and less (6.25mA?) with 5v due to Ohm's Law. (current = voltage/resistance)

- LED Rating: 4.5V~12V DC 15mA

I think you're right. I've been reading reviews/questions on Amazon all morning for various buttons, and one person had a Q similar to mine. The seller had provided an incorrect answer, and the guy actually measured the LEDs which were only consuming 10mA.

Thanks for helping clear this up and you were a big help. I think that any of those 12v buttons that are sold pretty much everywhere won't be a problem power-wise.
