::) hello all, im sure this has been adressed a million times, but i couldnt find a search on it. how thick should my control panel be? i have happ P360's but nowhere on the little instruction card they come with does it mention the thickness of the control panel your mounting it to. theres a .500 bushing spacer provided with the stick so im ASSUMING that thats the thickness, but i would like very much to have that confirmed or denied before i cut or drill anything potentially wasting a good piece of stock. thanks all |

3/4" is pretty much the standard. That said, a lot of people route out a little bit for the joysticks so that the sticks poke up a little higher. |

thanks for the quick heads up! i got a piece of .125" thick polished aluminum diamond plate, looks like im going to need a .625" backing plate under it. awesome :D ;D |

I misinterpreted you there. 3/4" is the standard for a WOOD panel, and even then it's not a "rule" or anything. If you have a metal panel, then...uh, I think it can just be whatever thickness you want, as long as it's strong enough to endure a beating. |

Yeah, a metal control panel can be much thinner. Mine's 2mm thick or thereabout. -S |
