NSM ES-VI Cosmic Blast (Floor model) title flipper issue
« on: August 10, 2022, 03:33:27 pm »
Good afternoon. I've got an ES-VI Cosmic Blast floor model and my title pages no longer flip back and forth (not a slider -- flipper).  It started hesitating when I would press the right button and worked great when we pressed the left button.  I had a tech out that said he changed the polarity on the motor and the same issue followed, just opposite (worked when right press but not on left).  Anyways, he said he thought it was the little motor that was bad.  Unfortunately, he has gone radio silent and I need to get this guy working.  I found the NSM part number in one of my manuals (179 213 Motor, Complete) but am having a bear of a time tracking down a replacement.  Not sure if you can simply replace the motor or you have to replace a whole assembly but if anyone has any suggestions / tips / etc. on how to get the pages flipping, that would be wonderful!  I'll try to attach a few pics of the motor / title page flipper assembly.

Thanks,

NSM's are notorious for being over complicated and having very specific parts that are not shared and frequently change between models. it could be very tough to find a replacement.

finding parts in north America for a european built machine is often quite difficult. you may have to contact the guys at "nsmjukeboxrepairs.co.uk"  maybe they have a motor or might know where to get one.
