Screen Shake on Midway games
« on: July 14, 2022, 09:48:14 am »
Have a bit of a head stumper that I am hoping someone can help me on. Installed Super Resolutions on my Groovy MAME setup yesterday and all works well (have done a few setups before), with the exception of the Midway games such as MK's, NFL Blitz, NBA Jam, anything 90s Midway really, has a bad screen wobble / shake to it that I cannot figure out. All the other games are fine.

Would running long list modes from MAME XML potentially solve this issue? I know Midway games have a weird resolution and refresh rate in some cases.

Looking for possible ideas or solutions please.

Thanks in advance fellows.

Attach a log file. See Calamity's sig for details. Also, more info on your monitor setup would be useful.

Maybe you are running the games in an interlaced resolution? I can imagine some might call that flickering a "wobble/shake". Log file will reveal! :D
Check out my completed projects!

I am on my way into work so can't post a detailed reply, but will say I had this issue several years ago and I outlined exactly how to fix it.  Search via my username.

Thank you Rancid. I will look through your username a bit later and see if I can find a solution.
