| Space Invaders Garbage Screen |

I have a Space Invaders Deluxe (Midway L-boardset) that is showing garbage on the screen. Here's a pic. I have checked on my scope and can see the reset line go low/high within a half second of power on. So I am confident the POR is working. I also can verify pin 6 is properly grounded on the daughter board. I am assuming it it is a RAM chip, but when I pull the ROMs I do not get the bars you are supposed to get. I still get this garbage screen. I have a box full of 8080As, so I replaced the processor with several others as a test. No change. I have an EPROM on order but has not arrived so I can't burn a test ROM quite yet. Any advice? I am kinda stumped. Thanks in advance!!! |
