USB IPAC 2 device cannot start
« on: June 14, 2022, 11:49:51 pm »
I'm hoping someone can help me get my IPAC 2 up and working again.  It's a USB (not a ps/2).  I brought it sometime in 2015, and I built a push button buzzer system for the Game Show Presenter app after seeing someone post a video on how to do this online.  I had a lot of fun building it, and it was a success.  I haven't used it in a while, you know, growing family, job, life, etc.  Recently, I had some family members ask to do this again as it was fun playing and buzzing in, but when I went to plug it up on my new computer, I got the following error:  Device cannot start (Code 10).  The first thing I did was follow the prompts from my computer that suggested it identified the problem, and I needed to restart my computer for it to work now.  Obviously, it did not.  I looked online for others who may have had similar issues.  I did a lot of what was suggested with no results, including deleting the USB device.  I'm all out of ideas and I'm really hoping someone out there had a similar issue and found a way to resolve it.  If anyone has a clue, your help would truly be appreciated.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling drivers with Device Manager. Try this along with unplugging/replugging the USB multiple times. Sometimes, with some PCs and, it can take a few tries before it gets recognised properly. Once it is, usually fine. Install the right driver software.

You can always ask Andy at ultimarc.com for support, he tries to be helpful.

Thanks. Will try Andy.  I tried the uninstalling thing over 20 times with no success.
