| S-video problems... |
| (1/1) |
| Iori:
I just got a flat screen tv to serve as the monitor for my cab and have hooked it up to my computer via S-Video on my 3dfx VooDoo 3 3000 card. I am having some really strange issues though. In some games the picture is shifted to the left noticeably (this also goes for Mamewah). A few games seem to be slightly horizontally squished and when I play older games like Robotron or Space Invaders the screen rolls and it completely unplayable... >:( Is there anything anyone knows that I can do about this? Is there some MAME configuration that I don't know about that I need to play with? Or is this a problem with the video card or it's driver that I am using? Thanks for any help with this... |
| GGKoul:
Play in the video card mhz settings in your screen properties. |

You seem to have corrected your problems, but I still had the occasional problem until I went under the universal settings in MAME and set the resolution to 640*480. If you haven't done this, I highly recommend it (Plus it should improve picture quality since you're not outputting a resolution where the tv has to drop pixels.) |

It is not too bad, but takes a bit away from the look. Anyone know what the cause of this might be or does anyone know what I might want to mess with to keep this from happening? Thanks... |
