Golden tee fore complete no sound no video
« on: March 18, 2022, 11:07:49 pm »
Hi all, I am stuck. I picked up a 2005 fire complete that was missing its monitor/ chassis and was told that it worked before it the monitor died. I installed a paddsun cga-vga adaptor and am getting no video, no sound. The board has one steady flashing led (looks like d5a, right under status 2 in picture) there are no other leds lit, including status 1. On power up the IDE2 led flashes once. I have checked all 3 voltages to the board- all stable. The ide led glows dimly when power is removed from hard drive and glows bright if sw31 is pressed. All chips removed brushed and reseated. I am not sure where to proceed from here. I have worked on other pinballs and have working knowledge of circuits with my HVAC background but this has me stumped. thanks

Are you pulling video directly from the video card or from the JAMMA edge connector?

Looks like a possible solution.
