Robot options for discharging CRT?
« on: March 14, 2022, 12:47:11 pm »
Just wondered if anyone is aware of a cheap solution to be able to use robot hands wirelessly to discharge a CRT?

If only Rube Goldberg was still alive...
Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools! I can fix it.

The only "robot hands" you need are two alligator clips soldered to each end of a stout wire about 1.5-2 metres long. One "robot hand" to chassis ground or a big metal thing nearby. The other "robot hand" on the metal shaft of a flat-head screwdriver.

Keep one of your real hands in your pocket.
