Super Mario in Christmas Light Show
« on: March 04, 2022, 04:27:03 pm »
You may have heard me mention I help develop Christmas Light software called xLights.  This video is from a friend of mine who uses our program.  He got quite popular after making it on ABC's Great Christmas Light Fight:

I thought that was someone's control panel from this forum at first.

But then I realized there were not nearly enough lights for that.

I like the lights, but that music. I need an ice pick to shove in each ear.

I will pay you $20 to put in a back door account to the software that allows me to play anything I want via Bluetooth while I idle in my car a block away.

Another $20 for the addresses of everyone that’s running the software next Christmas.

Jump Up, Super Star!   was an instant classic.   I question the musical tastes of anyone that doesn't have enough child-like wonder to get a kick out of that song.  Pauline ftw!

I'll give you both $20 if I could see this come to fruition.
Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools! I can fix it.

The funny thing is a lot of these guys have it setup so viewers can go to a webpage to vote on the next song as well as send text messages to display on their megatrees or matrix props.  They've had to do a lot of work to try to filter out the texts people send to post...lol.

if I lived across the street from this I would have to kill my neighbor.  It's pretty cool from afar though.

Yeah that's not my house but my show is almost that big.  Luckily all the neighbors have been fine with it.  I do have to direct traffic sometimes when my cul-de-sac gets clogged.  People will do stupid things.  I've seen a couple car pull right up into my neighbors yard and park on their rocks in the front yard.
