For Sale: Repro linkages for Food Fight / Red Baron joysticks
« on: January 30, 2022, 06:12:26 pm »
I recently restored a Food Fight cocktail game, that had broken joystick linkages (pretty common, I understand).  So, I decided to repro them. They are much sturdier than the originals and weigh almost the same (maybe .2 grams heavier).  They are direct replacements for use with the original Atari joysticks found in Food Fight and Red Baron games.

Each joystick uses 2 linkages, but these replacements can be done singly if your linkages still have some life left in them.

I'm selling them for $25 each.

Shipping is a flat fee of $5, regardless of the number of linkages purchased. (Shipping within the US only).

Thanks,
Steve

UPDATE:  I've got pictures and a video of the linkage installed in my Food Fight game.  The forum software, however, keeps rejecting my attempts to upload.  (If someone knows how to make that work, please let me know!)

If you want to see them, shoot me an email.

My email is my userid at gmail.

Thanks,
Steve

Unfortunately, the forum software sometimes throws false positives during the security checks.   :banghead:

The two workarounds that people have used to change the hash value are:
  1. Crop or resize the image by about 3-5%.
  2. Draw a dot in a similar-colored section of the picture.

After making one of these changes try uploading it again.

Yay! That worked!  The 2nd photo is now in the original post. Thanks, Scott!

What material is used for the linkages?  I'm interested in a pair.
