Looking for help changing coin door insert (X-Arcade Coin Door)
« on: January 09, 2022, 05:39:40 pm »
Hi!

I'm trying the change my coin door insert on an X-Arcade Coin Door. I found a YouTube video which showed how to take the clip off the back part to let you slide the entire red piece out the front, however, I'm not able to get my clip off. I've tried with pliers and all the muscle I'm willing to put in before I'm afraid to break it.
Any advice? Is there another way to get it open?

I don't have any grooves to pop a screwdriver under. It goes about 2/3 of the way around and seems flush.

You should be able to work a small probe/pick or jeweler's screwdriver in there.

If nothing else, you should be able to use pliers to push the clip far enough to work one of those tools into the gap.

Thanks, I finally was able to pry a mini-screwdriver underneath.
