Just in case anyone is also having issues with the software for the restrictor switches: the config tool and the command line tool worked flawless on my laptop for testing purposes, but refused to work on the desktop PC in my cabinet.... :-\
I got a number of errors concerning missing .dll's etc. In the end I had to install the MS Visual C++ Redistributable package and everything is running as it should.

StefanBurger:

Try „tos428config for Windows - compatibility version“. It installs C runtime libraries that seem to miss on your PC.

Thanks! I did not try this, as the desktop PC was newly built with an up-to-date Win 10 Pro OS - anyway, all is working smoothly now  :)

I'm very interested in this product. However, the standard JLF joystick restrictor has always had a very poor reputation for 4-way games. Apparently you could still easily hit a diagonal in 4-way mode.
I've never owned a JLF stick though.

So to anyone who has one of these kits... how does the 4-way work now?  Is the kit restrictor different in any way?

Also, what depth under the control panel do I need to install this? I can't seem to find a definitive answer. AI response says 1 7/8 " (about 48mm) but in the videos I see on YT it looks deeper than that to me.
A standard JLF is 34mm below the panel according to their diagram.
