Mini Arcade Marquee
« on: December 21, 2021, 05:57:15 pm »
Mini Arcade Marquee build. I wanted something smaller than full size arcade marquee for desk. Went to work on a smaller one. This is version 1 in black and white marquee. USB-C powered to light up so you can hook it to computer or any charger. Still need to apply texture wrap and waiting on t-molding. Worried slot bit will tear up side as thin as wood it is. Might change up panel mount to a different one. It was a bit cramp inside with that particular one. Thinking of doing a battery powered one too so no wire mess.

I've built full size ones of this but too big to put on desks and such. I use full size ones as shelves for small lego builds.

Just basically a way to display arcade marquees. But a smaller version. I made a full size versions as shelves. Figured smaller version I can make a few more for the arcades I played as a kid. Just didn't have ink for color pic but it slides out so I'll replace it later on once I finish it.

Dude, I love this. I have a few Street Fighter marquees sitting around and I've been meaning to build a light box for them. Making it a shelf like this is the best idea ever.

I still have more of the larger ones to make but playing around with different sizes of wood to make the whole light box. The mini ones are way too small for shelves but look cool on a desk plugged into a usb port on a computer.
