Nice on the upgrade! Do you notice any performance improvement?
I had a similar issue with triggering my 12V fan relay from a 5V source which was seeing voltage droop down to a little over 2V, and ended up having to find a more stable switched 5V source for the trigger - the 5V rail exposed for the harddrive ended up being pretty bulletproof.

A few of the more demanding shooters are more playable now as it's almost double the performance :)
